Their light

image

If you were meant to drown
Why were you trained to swim
in a waterbag
within her,
She who loves you more than
stars…

Though it seems that air
is far
out of your reach now…
Once,
on his shoulders
you felt
closer to the moon…

If they gave up trying
the first few times you fell
you would still be crawling
across the
dim lit floors…

Today,
You are their star
Today,
You are their moon…
And
putting out your light
would
put theirs’
out too

Without the Moon

Like you have

Wished upon the occasional shooting stars,

dreamt upon the glazed clouds,

I too, have wished and

dreamt,

But,

upon the MOON.

I have heard of rabbits

who lived in her,

rabbits who loved her

for all the scars,

for all the bits of pieces

that went missing

in her white glowing wholesomeness.

Has the moon ever refused,

to glow one single night

she was supposed to?

for she was the guide

that illuminated the dreams

Of the world…

At hours;

darkest yet mystique.

The beautiful.

For, without the moon

In what light would we fall in love

With wondrous strangers?

on what hope would the lost pray?

without the moon,

How could one ever believe in dreams

that saw light in darkness?Image
